Partials have helped many of our patients restore the appearance and function of their smiles. Trust Dentures In a Day to offer the best solution for your needs in Grand Rapids, MI. Partials fill in the spaces created by missing teeth and prevent other teeth from shifting. A partial is suitable for those who have some natural teeth remaining. It can improve chewing ability and speech and provides support for facial muscles. They also enhance the facial appearance and smile. Our dentist takes great care in helping patients choose from a range of options. Contact our office to schedule your initial appointment.
A partial is used to replace some of the missing teeth. There are several types of partials, metal, viseogem, cusil, and a duraflex. Any partial you can add teeth to if needed later down the road and they also can be repaired or adjusted if needed. You can also add thermo flexible clasps or tooth colored clasps to the basic partial, or the viseogem partial. Temporary partials such as flippers are the only ones done in a day.
Metal: just your basic metal framework with acrylic, teeth, clasps etc.
Viseogem Partial: is the type of partial where some of the front teeth are a special type of teeth that are baked onto the metal framework, making it more durable. This partial is more expensive, it depends on how many teeth that are going to be viseogem teeth. Each Viseogem tooth is $100.00 and you would add that to the basic partial price of $1100.00. Call us to check if your insurance will cover Viseogem partial.
Cusil: is a cross between a denture and a partial. It looks like a denture but where there are natural teeth there will be holes in the cusil to slide over the top of the natural teeth. There will be a silicone gasket around each hole where the natural tooth will be. The natural teeth will be the anchors to hold the cusil in place. The gaskets can be replaced in the future if necessary.
Duraflex: is a flexible partial. This partial is a little more comfortable than a metal or viseogem but it has its down falls. If for some reason they break or a tooth comes off, sometimes it can be difficult to fix.
Flipper: Flippers are meant not to be a permanent solution to your missing tooth problem. A partial, bridge, or an implant is more of a permanent solution. Flippers are for a cosmetic purpose only; they are not to be eaten with or slept with. Flippers are fragile and are meant to be a temporary solution to your problem. For that reason, we will only guarantee them for 6 months. Anything after the 6 months you will be charged accordingly.
